Activities
While in Punta Ala you can enjoy a whole range of activities.
The Villa is just a few minutes away (by car) from one of the most beautiful golf courses in Italy.
Two hard court tennis courts are available along the street that leads to the Villa, whereas clay courts are available at a few minutes of driving range.
Punta Ala has been the headquarter of Luna Rossa, former winner of the Louis Vuitton Cup and is a renowned sailing place.
Horse riding is another traditional sport in Punta Ala since its foundation.
The beach of Punta Ala is surrounded by a large gulf which protects the area from currents; this and the shallow depth of the sea make it safe practicing all the watersports and if you just like reading a book on the beach your children can play safely in the water.
If conversely you prefer to enjoy your vacation tasting some good food and wine, the surroundings of Punta Ala offer some of the best wines in the world (along with the excellent typical tuscan food): Montalcino, home of the "supertuscan" Brunello is just 1 hour away and Bolgheri, home of Sassicaia, is no more than 40 minutes north of Punta Ala.
Finally, if you're coming to Italy to see its famous monuments and works of art, within two hours by car you only have to choose between Florence, Siena, Pisa, Arezzo, San Gimignano, Pienza, Pitigliano...
